Honors Organizations

Alpha Lambda Delta is open to women who earn a 3.5 grade point average or better in their first semester of college. During their sophomore year, members promote academic success, leadership, service and strong bonds among the women members. The group is actively involved with the national organization. We routinely send officers to the national leadership conference, and local members have been successful in winning scholarships.

Omicron Delta Kappa is a leadership honor society for upperclass students with the mission of recognizing those who have attained a high standard of efficiency in collegiate activities; inspiring others to strive for conspicuous attainments; and bringing together student leaders and faculty members on the basis of mutual interest, understanding and helpfulness.

Phi Eta Sigma is open to freshman men who get a 3.5 grade point average or better in their first semester or year of college. The purpose is to encourage and reward academic excellence; to provide opportunities to meet scholars from all academic disciplines; to offer members scholarship opportunities; and to identify members to graduate schools, employers and professionals as people committed to scholarship and community service.

There are even more honors organizations on campus for specific academic departments.
